Street Woman Poem by Dorsey Baker

Street Woman

street woman
your summer is too hot
and your winter
is too cold
street woman
you'd better get rich
before you get too old

street woman
I'll give you my umbrella
if you get caught in the rain
street woman
and I'll be your boxcar
when you wanna ride a train

street woman
your hair is too long
and your lips are much too red
street woman
its a rough and rocky
life that you've led
