Street Man With His Guitar Poem by Michael Harlin

Street Man With His Guitar

Rating: 4.8

Someone's out there on the street,
He is such a lovely character to meet,
He can play anything on his guitar,
People come to see him from afar,

If you lived in the shoes of this man,
You will know that his life is full of fans,
He has a job exploring Dallas,
From club to pub his feet are callused,

He hopes one day he will get noticed,
But no that's just bogus,
This man is up for a performance,
On the street as always, its where he was born,

His love for his guitar is growing strong,
He never wonders where he went wrong,
Because of his fans and his notes,
He will never give up as he is a floating boat.

A lovely narrative about talented street performer who is 'married' to his guitar. I like the articulation and penning of the piece as it captured the zeal, enthusiasm and love the subject has for his vocation. A nice poem indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
