Stray Kitty Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Stray Kitty

Oh look there is a kitty-
All dressed in black and white
I'll take it home and love it so
And sleep with it tonight

Mike, my dog will be his friend
They'll play in our back yard
Now if only I can capture him
Then put him in the car

Come here my pretty kitty
Please don't run away again
Don't you know I love you
And I want to be your friend

My goodness you're so stubborn
You can't hide in that deep hole
I got you by the tail, kitty
Now I'll take you home

How was I to understand
I'm really not that smart
That, a kitten does not smell so bad
When you leave them in a car

Perhaps when I'm not grounded
I can have a kitty of my own
Now I know the difference
Leave wild skunks alone
