Stray Dogs Poem by Eloida Capuno

Stray Dogs

Rating: 3.5

mendicants are no
better than stray dogs
scavenging for food on
mountains of garbage
the spoils of society

the rich in their gilded
carriages are outbidding
each other for the most
expensive puppies so they
can raise them like prince
and princesses

human and beasts
are no different
they are both victims
of inequality
