Stranger In My Eyes Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Stranger In My Eyes

Rating: 5.0

Do you have a plan?
Is this apart of some program?
asking questions, i'm like why
Access to my business is denied
What's it to you?
Why are you so intrigued?
If there's no genuine interest
Expect to get nothing from me
Information you seek is not available

I'm not sure about you
Don't cast a reflection, you must be a devil
Makes it easier to not give you my trust
Hear the lies in your words
if the mirror casted a reflection
there would appear all of your flaws

So what's the real story
Hidden underneath the masquerade?
Can't even look me in the eye
too overwhelmed and mortified?
I know i'm right when I say...

You're a stranger in my eyes
Ain't no way you can justify
I just do not believe who you say you are
when you are showing me something else
you said, you wouldn't do me like that
you said, you would always have my back
that's only to stab me, you can not have me
As it's clear to see, you're a stranger in my eyes
