Stranger Poem by Witch Baby

Stranger

The jagged pieces of my heart
They cut me up inside
Like shattered stained glass windows
Never to catch the light

I need a cure for loneliness
Will you still remember yesterday, tomorrow?
But today I will be waiting
Like I always do for you

Nice to see you again, stranger
How long has been
A year or two?
Do you even believe you still know me?

Forgiveness is a powerful idea
Will I chance another broken heart?
Will I ignore your knocking,
Or open the door?
