Stranger Poem by Marketa Richnavska

Stranger

Why did I have to meet you?
Why did you need to show?
Oh, please, please, leave me
leave me all alone

How did you manage to break into my life?
How could you not to know it can change my world?
Oh, yes, yes I realize
you are a Stranger, you don't know a word.

A word about me
I'm just memory
from past lives

It's not your fault
you're looking at me THAT way
It's not your mistake
that a shy 'hi' is all I can say

you are not the one
who wants to betray
the one I love.
So what can I say?

I wanted to get to know you
just to know if it helps
but I'm afraid of doing first step
cos it could go some other way

the way I can't stop thinking about
the way that tears my heart apart
the way I don't wanna start
I really don't want to start

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This one is 'for'(apostrophes because he had never read or seen it) a man who came into my life and shook it a lot even though he didn't know about it at all. Sometimes even one single look is enough to change your life.
