Straight To My Lips

Mosquito buzzing my head
i tried to swat 'em, fled
came back to stick my back
i never felt 'til she's fat
can't fly; died on same spot
wasn't from my hands; blood

there's one more in my arm
i let her share what i have
it's itchy i let her suck
whatever she did, she's stuck
like me keep sucking same juice
but this bottle johnny; no ice

Poem of the Day

poet Emily Jane Brontë

I am the only being whose doom
No tongue would ask no eye would mourn
I never caused a thought of gloom
A smile of joy since I was born

In secret pleasure - secret tears
