I'm in the eye of the storm
So much has been stripped away
A life alone is starting to form
I'm waiting for night to turn day

It's gonna get worse before it gets better
I pour out my heart in ink
And you laugh at each letter
How far will you sink?

You're deciding things for you and I
You're running from all that's good
You're lost in your temporary high
How could love be so misunderstood?

You're gone selfishly just doing you
I'm alone and it hurts so much
But I will see you through
What I would give for our lips to touch

Waves come crashing down on me
For you, I'd stay here forever
How long will it take you to see
Our bond is real, it can't be severed

I am faithful, tried and true
I'll show you what unconditional means
I'm here just waiting for you
No matter how crazy that seems
