Storm Poem by Lawerence Mize, Sr.

Storm

Gray billowing clouds
Rolled over the land.
A gentle breeze
Brought by God's hand.

The wind kissed the leaves
As branches swayed.
The sky grew dark
As the light began to fade.

I breathed in the air.
Smelled the rain.
Watched the lightning.
It's always the same.

Sat for awhile
Until I heard the thunder.
Gazed up at the sky
It was such a wonder.

Thought of the things
I've lived to see.
Comforting to know
God's walked with me.
