Stolen Moments Poem by Katherine H. Hageman

Stolen Moments

Men were taken
lives put on hold
years unaccounted for
events changing the world
births and deaths
walls crumbling
wars beginning and ending
tears shed
never forgotten
yellow ribbons and prayers
excitement building
disappointment destroying
prayers and hope
one day returning
joy over flowing
words not needed.
