Stitches On The Wound Poem by Cynthia Aluning

Stitches On The Wound

Rating: 5.0

Behind my back
You stabbed me hard
You did it once...and now
You did it once again

It cuts deep in my heart
The blood caused to clot
I have grown paralyzed
I am numb for a while

Your dagger now stained
Twice you wiped it dry
It'll remain soaking wet
My tears wont let it dry

I could forgive the days...
But could not forget the pains
Martyrs do still cry...
But wont have a change of heart

I have given my whole heart
My breath...my soul...my life
A sincere love that could never lie
Yet you denied me of a blue sky

Sooner the blood will scrape
From the heart you have escaped
The wounds will heal in time
The stitches would subside

The mark is seen, it'll forever stay
In colder days, it will sure to hurt
The scar will need the healing warmth
The touch from once... a loving arm

My heart is not a stabbing ground
It will still beat without you around
Your dagger I've thrown in the river wild
You will never stab me for another chance
