Still Love You Poem by Sylvia Chidi

Still Love You

Rating: 4.0

I still love you
Care enough to wish you well
I will dream of our sweet kisses
Till they slip away in time
Out of grasp
And out of mind

I still love you
It hurts and its true
I know I have to set you free
Like a bird flying out of its nest
For the very first time

If only you could hear my heart
pounding and pounding
There might have been second thoughts
My tears I have bravely fought
Our dreams which we once dutifully sought
Now lie buried in forgotten grounds
It is with all my love
That I end these words
I still love you

A sad poem, a love that didn't work, thanks for sharing.
