Steering Seconds Poem by Danny The Dreamer Boyd

Steering Seconds

Why only in my dreams you yet appear?
What happened to directness, honesty?
How could one try a stranded ship to steer?
Both warmth and strangeness how could one still see?
Or often let conflicting thoughts roam free?
Or arbitrary selfless feelings hide?
And solely deep inside how could it be,
That you to sleep put all you by abide?
I know you did not let those seconds slide,
I wish that they one day will melt your mask,
And put an end to your damn endless pride,
And show you how to in our present bask.
Asleep you told me why you went away;
Awake I have yet faith in yesterday!
