Starting Over Poem by Kay Barcelon

We can start over but keep reminding ourselves
The things that happened were just meant to be
We cannot allow insecurities cloud our thinking
Judge not our future by the way things happened
We were robbed of pleasures of how things should be
But we still have our dignity and our strength to go on
We can ignore the bitterness behind and the blame
The only question is why we should make it through
And the real winner is ourselves and the love we knew
