Once I looked up at the sky,
On a calm and peaceful night,
I saw the heavenly shining stars,
That lit up the world with light.

Down on Earth, everything's changing,
So incredibly fast,
But these twinkling stars of the universe,
Will forever last.

They are miles and miles away,
Yet their light I can see,
Their beams and rays of hope and love,
Come reaching out for me.

I wish I was born as a star,
It is the dearest wish of mine,
By the people of Earth I would be seen,
And I would twinkle, glow and shine.
