Staring Into Darkness Poem by Bhavya Kaman

Staring Into Darkness

Staring into darkness
What do my eyes behold?
A glimpse into the world
Of many secrets untold.

Staring into darkness
Waiting for a beam to shine
As I lie in shadows
In this world of mine.

Staring into darkness
Weary, lost and alone
Struggling to discover myself,
My life, my own.

Staring into darkness
Wanting to be free;
For the first time in my life
I can clearly see.

Staring into darkness
Dispelling what I doubt;
For the one within me is greater
Than the one without.

Staring into darkness
My vanquished spirit is revived,
The fire is rekindled
And I'm no longer staring into darkness.
