Star Gazing Poem by Bernard Jess Sagpang

Star Gazing

A view at the stars in the heaven's ceiling
And to the mountains in an evening breeze
Night after night, I gaze to find songs to sing
As I find myself more and more amazed

It may seem so cold and the dawn's still slumbering
Yet He sings to me with love and embrace
And those sweet words flood me like an endless stream
Like a river so free and at peace

Oh I love to see each night that pass me by
Though pain and sorrow may come anytime
A view at the stars gives me hope in my heart
As countless as they are so is His plans for me
And as high as the heavens is His love for me

Unfailing
For eternity

And so night after night with the stars in the sky
I turn back to pray with my hands up high
And bless the Lord though I fear and cry
He is God at work in my life
