Standing Alone Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Standing Alone

You don't know the place I come from.
I'll leave you standing alone!
Standing alone.

You don't know the place I come from.
I'll leave you standing alone!
Standing alone.

Don't ever try to lie to me.
I'll leave you,
Standing alone.
Standing alone.

Or hide in your eyes you deceive.
You'll be,
Standing alone.
Standing alone.

You don't know the place I come from.
I'll leave you standing alone!
Standing alone.

You don't know the place I come from.
I'll leave you standing alone!
Standing alone.

Like a game of one on one in hoop,
You'll be playing alone.
Playing alone.

Or hiding in the bushes too!
You'll be hiding alone.
To be left on your own!

You don't know the place I come from.
I'll leave you standing alone!
Standing alone.

Don't ever try to lie to me.
I'll leave you,
Standing alone.
Standing alone.

Or hide in your eyes you deceive.
You'll be,
Standing alone.
Standing alone.

Don't ever try to lie to me.
I'll leave you,
Standing alone.
Standing alone.

Don't ever try to lie to me.
Or hide in your eyes you deceive.
You'll be,
Standing alone.
Standing alone.
