Stability Poem by Mallory Piña Villa

Stability

Stability can't be found on one leg

So i tried with two

But the ground kept rumbling and crumbling

So i figured that stability, couldn't be found there too

I fell together.

I collapsed...

But you see..

I figured that stability could be found on three

I stood up, with new found hope

I ran great lengths, as one once said -

'The same tricks that,

That once fooled me,

They won't get you anywhere.

I'm not the same kid from your memory

Well now i can fend for myself.'

Though....

You tripped me.

And now i know.

Even though i never forgave you...

Who said i'd ever forget you?
