Springs Mangrove Mind Poem by karen sinclair

Springs Mangrove Mind

Rating: 5.0

This morning you sauntered through the mangroves of mine mind
Betwixt clocks gentle ticks
And such sweet jubilant chirps prising spring from the dullish tones of winter
It is...

The once again, unveiling of misty nets
Where hazes will raise over sails
Tugged by cumbersome calloused hands

I shall one day I'm sure
Tinker my finger around the cool smooth rim of the dripping glass of poignance Observing the once
Obsolete suns return

How I wish
deep amongst the dense forestry of thoughts and images
I could spy your swathe elegance
Upside down through my crystal mazed wine glass
Approaching me

In to lean
Laugh
Smile
And state 'Hello Kazy! '
As chirpily as this little feathered fiend
Which reminds me
First day of spring
Yet another one I'm left to witness
Without you...

Poetry is therapy, but it cannot bind grief and loss to a medicinal patch to restore normality or happiness. Once some moments are torn the fabric is forever undone like another spring faced alone. Your light spun verse commemorates but does not even try to disguise the enduring pain. Such is loss and our to reflect and endure and enmesh into the everyday that we that are left carry and recall.

Karen, Kazy, Kaz, that ' [br]' in Emu Dreaming was the fault of PH and shouldn't be there and 'Dreaming' should be on the next line by itself. What can you do? Doug
