Spring Time Poem by Don Pengilly

Spring Time

Rating: 5.0

Winter's gloom put to bed
Springtime brings new things
Long cold nights set aside as dead
Springtime new life brings

Trees bring forth their winter store
The hidden bulbs their yield
The grasses growing from the spore
Green the ground and field

Birds reappear from habitat
A new song in the air
As black bird sings from bow where sat
And whistles for his mate

Humans to breath in new life
As warmer air brings such delight
From winters cold cuts like a knife
Springtime come things put aright

The joy of springtime here at last
For winters pull now in the past
All of life seems to abound
With beauty seen once in the ground
