Spring's Bounty Poem by Karl Carpenter

Spring's Bounty

Rating: 5.0

It seems that spring has just arrived,
the first and biggest rains just came,
the birds are in the yard out back,
feasting on the newly emerged worms,
so swiftly separated from their home,
their weary winter hiding place.
You hear the chirps and the moist grass glistens
from the coat the morning's coffee left.
All this occurring now because
the earth begins its nod to the sun.
