Spring Haikus Poem by W.I. Stoneberger

Spring Haikus

robin in sweetgum
a nest of twigs and dead leaves
how soon May will hatch.
-------------
spring sings in my veins
soon I'll wake to a new world
hyacinths swelling
-------------
wanting a new life
rearranging everything
old ghosts whispering
---------
a whole week of rain
blossoms on the sweetgum tree
a springtime shiver
----------
singing a new song
finding my voice deep within
a lone dove at dawn
