Spring Flowers ~ Irises Poem by Mary Havran

Spring Flowers ~ Irises

Rating: 3.6

Irises these most regal Spring flowers
Over flowerbeds reign
Never their destiny to bow
Sometimes will grant visitation powers
If by chance they deign
Audience agree to allow

Royal Blues and kingly Purple hues too
Colors that naturally
They may duly own
Golden tones appropriately will do
As may pure Whites regally
Serve as royal gown

Irises reign over other garden flowers
As if such were theirs
By Botanically rightful due
But if you possessed similar stately powers
Some like regal airs
You might readily adopt too

Your spring flower poems are sweet. You seem to have imbued each one with a separate personality.
