Spring Poem by Helen M. Bryant

Spring

Twas lovely to see above the ground
The new creation, the birth of spring
As tiny young buds their greenery found,
A place in the sun, that warms the earth
The birth of a child, The coming of life,
Seeds of kindness, seeds of love,
Plants to vegetate, plants to rise,
Awaken our hearts, to the Creator above,
Who joyfully gives without reserve,
Seasons of peace, Songs of the birds,
As we begin life anew,
To greet the loveliest time of the year.
