Spring Poem by Rhonda Baker

Spring

Like a lion it blew in
An icy Canadian wind
Winter is still here
Howling, heckling, laughing, jeer
Yet: the sun shines bright and proud
A spark of hope, from beyond a cloud
Enticing spring to show its face
To wake from winters cold embrace
March holds you like a new born lamb
Breaking through the winter dam
