Spitful Dancer Poem by Ramona Thompson

Spitful Dancer

Rating: 4.0

Angry, bitter, and full of hate
Wickly she plots
Coldly she plans
The demise of each and every one of her fellow poets
In one of her many jealous fits
She has decided they all must fall
None to ever rise higher then she
For if she can't have it all
Why oh why then should they?

So near yet so far away from her own dreams
So others she has vowed to tear down and apart
Ranting
Raving
Calling out every other pen that writes
With cruel, lame taunts and insults
She just won't stop
Twisted and mean she don't wanna shut up
So hellbent on her own selfish desires that she does not see
Her self-destruction is just over the horzion

No matter what her friends say
No matter what they do
It seems sad but true
There is no way back or out
For a woman who long ago choose to sell her soul for vengence
A bitter treasure she is now rewarded
As all who once cared shun and turn away from her
Shaking their heads in a bitter digust
Saddened by the loss of what could have been
All her golden dreams come true
Now dangerously, hopelessly
Forever dashed

A shame
A damm, damm, damm shame
That no one else does this sad woman have to blame but herself
For all her many, many troubles
For all her many, many heartaches
She and she alone is the one who will carry forever
This burden
So very heavy and cumbersome
Lost
Adrift in a sea of her own self-pity and loathing
Never, never have I felt so very heartbroken as I do for her
The Spitful Dancer

Dancing alone and forever lonely
All by herself
In a darkened room
Devoid and empty of all love or feeling
Forever more

It's like looking in a mirror for me! That was a joke, but this poem isn't, it's beautifully written, with a lot of emotion and flow. It's got something that makes me think this isnt a one-time feeling or look. Maybe it's you, maybe it's her; in either case forever doesn't last as long as we think.
