Spirit World Poem by G J Salgado

Spirit World

At the end of the day
I take a deep breath and sigh
Then I stop for a moment to say
With deepened thoughts asking why

Why the magic happens when the lights go dim
Released is the past I've tried to forget
Taste of wine one for me and one for him
We are neither beyond or between being a spirit

I reconnect to the realm that waits for me
Reaching unto what seemed a lifetime ago
It dreams visions of who I use to be
Including all of the souls I belonged to and know

But do I really know these spirits of the past
Glory to the remnants that it left behind
Reminding me that this life doesn't last
The present, past, and future echoes in my mind

Speaking louder than what words can be heard
It saddens me to know that I came from there
Another time among other souls of a different world
How did I get there and where do I go from here

Departed by time that once or will occur
Belonging to the hearts of those upon a dream
Chasing my former self of someone else of more
Finding the way through another dimension within me

Very profound, touching deeply on so many esoteric and yet unexplored unknown areas of life, death, spirits, other dimensions.. our interests seem to be on similar lines.. thanks for sharing
