Spirit Soul Bereavement Gone Poem by Terence George Craddock

Spirit Soul Bereavement Gone

where is the spirit soul gone
that was the one we knew...
without spirit soul an inner
something animated which
made magically eyes glow
with love, lips smile with laughter
humour where is that vacant inner...
twinkle fire in eyes emotions

strong patient love contemplation
even rare anger all seem suddenly...
long gone leaving but a bitter
mourned for outer casing how
does one prepare to face lacklustre...
eyes lifeless which shall reanimate never
