Spindletop Poem by John McCornack

Spindletop

Rating: 5.0

Oil men keep looking for that next Spindletop
Excitement reigns in the search for black gold
That wonderful liquid that powers our nation
And keeps all our cars and trucks on the road

I will keep my eye on that far distance horizon
Looking with my digital camera near my hand
And if God is willing and the creek don’t flood
I’ll be looking for more wells in this great land
