Spin Poem by Lilly James

Spin

She's spinning in circles
As leaves sway all around her
A vison of happiness
Anyone can see this girl
Wearing a blue dress enjoying
The last few days before winter
Before the cold wind blows
Bringing a layer of snow
She spins amongst a rainbow
Of colors red, yellow, orange, brown
She swirls until they are all blended
Into one she lets herself fall
Splashing in the leaves
Her smile, her laugh
Has come back for a short while
Forgetting all that's gone wrong
Letting the leaves the spinning
The dizziness consume the darkness
As if it never filled her broken heart
She knows it won't last forever
So for now she spins falls gets up
Just so she can spin again
