Spiders Web
my friends all told me to take care
for my heart you would tear.
but i was so infatuated with you
that i just did'nt see it through.
all i saw was the beauty in your face
and the depth in your eyes.
i did not think it was a disguise.
just like a spider, you caught me in your web
and you got deep inside my head.
you made me believe all your lies
and took me in like a fool, i can't deny.
just like a spider you drained me
and left me weak. to the point i could'nt speak
for you it's a treat, this web of deceit
you hid your lies all so well
you put me in a living hell.
all the dreams i had of you
they seem to have fallen thru.
and now that i have gained my strength
i am all HELL BENT.
i will see you fall from the web that you built.
and of all the hearts you killed.
you will fall to the floor
and i will have settled the score.
Expressive craft with nice finishing...even though the theme is sad. Good.
So clear and well written. There is no settling the score though. Spiders are spiders for what they are. You need not concern yourself with their ways. You are too good for that. Respect the spider, admire the web she creates. Just STAY THE HELL AWAY, for you own safety and protection. Your sanity is at stake if you play with spiders. You will learn to watch them eat their victims, and you will be glad you will never be one of her meals. Someday you can write poems to help others learn and stay away too. Your experience may save them? :) DC
revenge for deceit in love only shows you still care...do you? if not, let by gones be by gones...you ve all my empathies with you..all people who are emotional are in a way fools...i am too...good write...regards
wowwww! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! This is a great read sir! ! ! I liked this one.... in a way very moving too.... This may be a bitter xp for the writer, but as a reader I very much enjoyed this work. that's what happen with me too... I write a poem about a bitter xp.. People come and say it is very entertaining and hilarious.... In any case I liked this one very much.. Simple free flowing language... a nice narrative.... lovely work indeed.. with lots of love shan

A very touching piece when you read between the web....you've expressed your emotion well Louis.....there's many that spin webs to deceive us in life...and it takes strength to break free if we get caught up within it.....lovely work as always
