Spider & Fly

The Fly: As I Lay Tangled In Your Web Of Death
I Feel A Sense Of Regret

Regret That I Have Not Even Begun To Live Yet
Plus I Only Have One Day Don't Forget

''Those Humans Are Lucky, They Get Many Days To Try
But We Are No So Fortunate'' Said The Fly

As You Drain The Life From Me, I Start To See The World Clearly
Every Creature Has It's Chance To Dance Before The Sun And For This We Must Be Lucky
I Have Lived, Now I Am Done

The Spider: ''I Am Not As Evil As It Seems, I Have To Exist By Any Means
Life Is Cruel, My Web Is My Tool
I Go To Hell When I Dream''

As You Stick So Sweetly To My Lines
Feel Them Tug At You Like Vines
No One Can Hear You Scream, This Is Not A Dream
I'm Crawling Closer, Feel My Breath
I Have Eight Eyes To See You And I'm As Black As Death

Your Pleading With Me, I Have No Remorse
For It Was Your Wings That Flew You Onto This Course
Two Chubby Digits, What Is This? A Deafening Cry, A Childs Pink Fist

Looks Like The Tables Have Turned, Instead
The Boy Rips Off The Spiders Legs, And Turns To The Fly Who Thought He Might Die
And Tore Off Both His Wings

Poem of the Day

poet Rupert Brooke

If I should die, think only this of me:
That there's some corner of a foreign field
That is for ever England. There shall be
In that rich earth a richer dust concealed;
