Spells Poem by Virginia Cairns

Spells

Spells unwinding
Coming undone

The life I once had
Unraveling at the seams

Spells backfiring
Turning to curses

Love is lost
Forever leaving my behind

What was once stable
Has become Chaos

Spells binding
Holding me down

Everything I knew
Is now unwound

Heaven and peace
Are now lost to me

Hell and torture
Have become my companions

Everything is gone
Burned and poisoned

Nothing left
Except crumbling walls and ashes

Forever bound
Forever lost

Nothing left to do
But march on!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Lately I have been going through a rough patch, and this morning was my breaking point. Thanks to this breaking point, I now have 6 new poems, although morbid and depressing. Hope they are able to help someone else through hard times like they did me!
