Spell
- - - - -
I heard little dancing sound
On roof top and window pane
And looked what was around
It was evening outside
Though I was sitting
With lights on inside
Saw lofty clouds floating in the sky
And I thought, is it swirling cloud
Hurling down spell from paradise to ground
Or is it a ghost creating evil spell
Summoning demons from hell to ground
Saw the tempest shrouding the sky
As if in a while cauldron would
Bubble over the roaring storm-fire
And it's roiling and seething particles
Would dance away the living empire
And the darkness growing stronger
And I could hear loud the steady patter
On the roof and the window pane
And the thunder smiling an evil grin
Helpless I was sitting still
Wishing the storm soon calm down
For it was enough to scare a soul
Like this in an hour solemn
Though came showers kindly down
On woodlands, budded flowers
And newly glinting green
After breaking open rain on the plain
Now sadden clouds looked serene and calm
Oh, how bright it looked all around
And I thanked God
That what looked like a gloom
Ended like a shower of molten gold
