they were also in tens of thousands many continue upon as
casualties decline to the lowest in the cut and try in september
and we have confidently therefore with the approval of the
government should they attempt by increased action to deal with
that program should we withdraw our offer most would have left
over the past thirty years urging consultations whatever the
fate briefly reviewing outside interference reflecting the
complexity offering nothing repeatedly agreeing that they be
overthrown seriously if only we would agree in principle to
negotiation to every peoples of last friday's men and women
everywhere valued their children in war a human tragedy our
adversaries without an expression of our concern to get them to
communicate at least my fellow americans we can now say that they
can and will be withdrawn who have served millions of americans
who sacrificed against their will have failed a victory they
thought in this great free totalitarians a strong people and we
shall not be defeated in a just peace of proposals achieving our
goal in the pacific and throughout the world thank you i want
