Special Peony Poem by Marilyn Lott

Special Peony

This peony was special when
Sister Philomena one day
Picked up bare bulbs and said
"If you want them I'll give them away."

We were at the gardens of the convent
Strolling around in summertime
Nothing made me happier because
It was a wonderful and special find.

This has been many years ago now
Each summer when they bloom
I smile at their gorgeous beauty
I will always give them plenty of room.
