Speak The Truth

Through Jesus’ bride in every land
God’s truth can still be heard
Yet still some fail to understand
The meaning of the word

Few doctrines stand as days of old
They’ll speak of God on high
But deeper truth is rarely told
And so God’s children die

Sermons are weak, too often dull
Like wheat within a breeze
They seek to keep their houses full
And so they preach to please

With sweetened words some twist and bend
They’ll sift God’s truth to fit
Speaking of things that won’t offend
To keep the few who’ll sit

So many come like walking dead
Their shepherds speak their mind
The rest but sing, can bow their head
Like children deaf and blind

But “ALL” in Christ receive some gift
To serve, we’ve talents free! –Ro.12: 6
To comfort, guide to help and lift
Christ’s name, the world to see

They’re not to hide as though in shame –Mt.5: 15
No gift is meant for fools
For when they’re used in Jesus’ name
They’re God’s almighty tools

Satan would rob, would cheat and kill
Would steal again life’s crown
So speak the truth, obey God’s will
And cast the devil down…
