Spanish Is The Loving Tongue

Rating: 5.0

Spanish is the loving tongue,
says Bob Dylan, but I think
all the words that I have sung
with passion do not keep in sync
with true reality and can’t
express the passion I feel for
my lady love, though they enchant
her mind and esprit of her corps.

I say the love words when with her,
and write them down when she is not
with me, in English, which I do prefer
to Spanish. Hope they’ll make her hot
for me, yet I believe there are
no words in any language which
she hears me sing when she’s afar
that have for love a perfect pitch.

Inspired by “Spanish is the LovingTongue, ” by Bob Dylan

Broke my heart, lost my soul
Adios, mi cora sole
Spanish is the loving tongue
Soft as music, light as spring
It was a girl I learned it from
Living down Sonora way
Well, I don't look much like a lover
Still I say her love words over
Mostly when I'm all alone
Mi amor, mi cora sole.

Haven't seen her since that night
I can't cross the line you know
They want me for a gamblin' fight
Like as not it's better so
Still I always kind of missed her
Since that last sad night I kissed her
Broke her heart, lost my own
Adios, mi cora sole
Broke her heart, lost my own
Adios, mi cora sole
Adios, mi cora sole
Adios, mi cora sole.
