Spanish Holiday Poem by Joyce Hemsley

It's a holiday in Barcelona
in the warmth of the Spanish air,
along the Mediterranean coast
just 'taking life easy' there.
Dreaming of a Love I lost
many years ago..
and how I yearn for his return
to Spain, when lights are low.

Oh just to be in Barcelona
admiring the Central Square,
and the Plaza de la Catalunya
memories linger there.
To visit the Rambla Promenades
and Cathedral...I won't delay,
for the summer sun is waning
and winter is on its way.
