pitch black a starless void
mind numbing coldness
bend twist violate the space around me
an infinite maze of a deafening vacuum
a never ending horizon
expanding beyond futile reach
neither near the end nor at beginning
somewhere in between limbo and chaos
yet I stand
loneliness I welcome you
with arms wide open
I stop you from conquering this space
fill it with bone flesh and sinew
I break your dominance of darkness
fight your silence
with every inch of strength
yet I am losing the battle
hunted down by memories
murdered by silence
