Soulless Poem by Sandra van Coppenhagen

Soulless

black heart
no soul
people care
she doesn't
she wonders why though
they talk at a distance
she watches
she knows
and in the darkness she waits
no one to fill the void
she chose to be empty
she chose the dark
now that she's there, she is numb
she cannot feel, cannot breath, cannot see
some one is calling her but she cannot hear
numbness is how she escapes
emptiness is in her
only in the darkness can she truly feel free
