Soul Ripper Poem by Bakare Oluwagbenga Michael

Soul Ripper

You came down to our kingdom, crossing the seven deep seas just to destroy our future. Along with you came clothing of lies to cover our newly found shame. To build your taunting mansions, you pulled down our peaceful huts. In order to enslave our people, you braced the ego of our leaders with sweetness; blinding them towards your inhumanity. With your foxy kindness, you veiled our culture with civilization. Feeding our unborn children in the womb with worms. My culture has now become a foreigner in its own land. You have defiled our palace with indignity, making our rulers loose their integrity through infidelity. You have fed our warriors more than they can stomach, making them become too heavy and vulnerable in battles. Peace has become a thing of the past in our land. We have been deprived of freedom. Our integrity has been grinded to dust.
But know this, you shall pay darely for all these in folds. Your kingdom shall be torn apart and you shall have nowhere to dwell. The blood of the LAMB OF GOD shall ask you why you have fed our ancestors with the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden...
