Soul On Fire (A Song, Rock N Roll) Poem by Bill Simmons

Soul On Fire (A Song, Rock N Roll)

Rating: 5.0

I just can’t fight the devil and you
I know I can’t win, what do I do
I just can’t fight this burning desire
Burning, burning, soul on fire

I fell in to the world you’re in
The first time we kissed, I was losing then
I went down, down, flames all around
Burning, burning, look what I found

I didn’t know would mess up my life
I didn’t know, the devil at your side
I didn’t know, I should have realized
The devil and you, the green, green eyes

I didn’t know, I would feel the burn
I guess a heart in love, it will never learn
You took me down, I feel the fire
The burning, burning, souls desire

I just can’t fight the devil in you
I know I can’t fight, I’m bound to lose
Just look at me and the mess I’m in
I got to fight the devil, but I can’t win

I just can’t fight the devil and you
I know I’m going to lose, what do I do
I fell in to a burning fire…
And it burns, burns, soul on fire.
