Soul In Anguish Poem by David Oladipupo Olorunshola

Soul In Anguish

Walk not in offence
Rather practice defence
Protecting your soul and heart
Against its deadly onslaught
It festers and cause distraught
When you least expected
Except you have perfected
A way not to be caught unawares
By its fangs of snares
Offence gathers around itself
Several characters that strives
It has building blocks
Like a stronghold that will not go away
When you put it on a weigh
Sure to measure very high
Break free from the corruption
That often weakens and cause pollution
Your heart will be wounded
And it may not heal quickly
Because it derails and dries
The soul in anguish
