Unintelligible Susurration

Sorry For

Sorry for not being the one
Who you could depend on
When it was all gone

Sorry for not being good enough -
That I'd be everything you're not -
As much as I tried

Sorry for not loving you
The way you deserved to be loved
Like you loved me

Sorry for slipping away
But for that I blame you
Who did nothing in turn

Sorry for being me
Sorry for being the way I am
Sorry for being sorry

Poet's Notes about The Poem

The creation of this poem began when I came to realize that I was not a perfect individual for a certain person. It was like trying to figure out why this person even had the slightest notion to make my aquaintance.

The title says it all basically. I am being sorry for being the way I am.
I am not so regal as the person I am apologizing to, making me far less than them.

Sometimes it really hard to apologize, when you did something so wrong to someone.
You are better person then I have been on occasion, there is a couple of times when I didn't apologize to save face.
The feeling of humiliation and disgrace.
I loss friends over this pride.
It not a place in which anyone should hide.
Indeed I know exactly this poem is coming from. (Report) Reply
