Sorry for having to say I'm sorry

This poem is to my two daughters I need you to know
Some times life is tough and hard on your soul

It’s 2: 30 am and I’m sitting here all alone
My girls are gone to grow up and be on their own

I have made some mistakes when we argue I am not proud of
But in my eye in the heat of the moment I said them with pure total love

We play hard…. I love it …And we argue hard I agree
I am trying to tell you don’t make those mistakes like me

I don’t want to hurt you and you don’t seem to care
But you have also left my heart with a big jagged tear

Some times I wonder how they will be with out me in their lives
And it cuts at my heart like a thousand sharp knives

I don’t mean to hurt you but I am doing my best
Trying to help you along with lives difficult quests

I’m sorry if I have hurt you in any way shape or form
I am hoping we will finally come to the calm in the storm

I am praying we can breath easy and our hearts we will mend
No matter what has happened and what we have said

For I know down deep in my heart
I will love you for ever lets make a fresh start

Un Till the last time I tell you... you are my whole heart and soul
I love you my babies you make my life whole

Very touchy! I hope your daughters will find a way to read this poem addressed to them.
A mother's feelings very apologetically expressed. I am sure the daughters cannot but respond, if they have an opportunity to see this. (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet John Clare

I love to see the old heath's withered brake
Mingle its crimpled leaves with furze and ling,
While the old heron from the lonely lake
Starts slow and flaps its melancholy wing,
