Sorrowman Poem by Chibueze Oscar Osuji

Sorrowman

Indeed! The scarlet coloured walls have ears
Be careful while you weep, for someone hears
Maybe this is just a dark fallacy
Maybe this is my untold legacy

I'll be roaming the realm of the living
Devouring lives, for i'm unforgiven
Unlike death who helps, resting flaccid souls
I'll dig your heart, clawing sore acrid holes

I'll make sorrow never come to an end
Death himself, finds it hard to comprehend
When I come the living may long to die
While your thrombocytes pour out as you cry

I'll leave your eyes, forever in crimson
As I cage joy and lock peace in prison
Do not try to weep, you puny human!
Amidst your tears, I'm there, the sorrowman.
