Soothing Or Painful. Which Would This Locket Represent?

Soothing was the meet,
Painful was the regret of that meeting.

Soothing was the presence,
Painful was the absence.

Soothing was the sharing,
Painful was the robbing.

Soothing was the friendship,
Painful was the war.

Soothing was the trust,
Painful was the betrayal.

Soothing was the acceptance,
Painful was the rejection.

Soothing was the embrace,
Painful was the backstabbing.

Soothing was the whisper,
Painful was the shout.

Soothing was the promise,
Painful was the lie.

Soothing was the memory,
Painful was the stronghold.

Soothing was the blessing of knowing you,
Painful was the curse of realising i may have not known you.

We met..

In our presence,
There was sharing,
Friendship was found,
Built on trust which grew...

In acceptance,
We embraced,
We whispered.

Promises made,
Memories written,
I count it a blessing,
For love was found.

Soothing was the LOVE,
But painful also was that LOVE....

So now we regret that day we met,

For in such short absence,
Joy was robbed,
A war was pending,
Based on betrayal.

Rejection ensued,
Then backstabbing,
Then shouting.

Lies revealed,
A stronghold battled,
I counted it a curse,
That this love was ever found.
